　　小蜗牛又干又瘦，要不是有个壳，看起来像一段干柴。叶子也千疮百孔了，好些地方只剩黄黄的网状叶脉。

　　The little snail was dry and thin. He looked like firewood but for a shell. The leave were full of holes and there were only yellow net-like nerves remaining in many places.

　　蜗牛越来越累，他想：“唉！妈妈说得没错，沙漠真是可怕的地方，它弄得我筋疲力尽了。”

　　其实，他是老了。
